At 19 years of age, she is the youngest to ever win the prestigious Country awards and certainly the youngest to sweep the event. 


Taylor celebrated very strong sales of her sophomore album "Fearless" and toured with the "Who's Who" of country music including Keith Urban, Brad Paisley and more during the year. 

An early morning tweet from @taylorswift13 at 3:50am summed up how she celebrated: "Just wrapped up a cereal party with my mom and dad at the kitchen table. What a night." -- What a night indeed! Congrats Taylor.

“It was very important to me to bring what I have to the table,” Fergie told Women’s Wear Weekly. “I’m a bit more rock ’n’ roll than some of the other artists, and Avon has really allowed my personality to come through.”

Fergie's exclusive fragrance launches internationally in August 2010 and will be available in the U.S. in November 2010.

On the Fergie selection, Avon Senior Vice President and Global Brand President Jeri Finard stated the Hip-Hop group member portrays the self-determination Avon looks for in celebrity partnerships.

“[We’re] excited to team up with Fergie because she is a strong, confident woman who stays true to herself and her beliefs,” Finard explained. “She inspires others with the empowering message that anyone can make their dreams come true.”

Fergie will be hands on during the process, and give direction regarding the fragrance’s scent, packaging, name, and eventual marketing campaign.

The Black Eyed Peas’ latest album, The E.N.D., was released on June 9 and to date has sold over 1.1 million copies.

Fergie is a busy lady. She is currently filming a new movie entitled Nine, starring Kate Hudson, Nicole Kidman, and Daniel Day Lewis.

The massive, multi-decade band is a rare bird, but often a very, very lucrative one.  The Who is one of those groups, and potentially the next halftime performer at the upcoming Super Bowl.  According to Sports Illustrated, the mega-band is being slotted into Super Bowl XLIV, slated for February 7th in Miami, though the NFL has declined comment.  That follows a recent performance by Bruce Springsteen, and earlier performances by Paul McCartney, Prince, and the Rolling Stones.

If the rumors pan out, the Who will enjoy an audience unlike any other, and another chance to connect with younger (and older) generations.  These are classic songs and a classic sound, though younger listeners are often unfamiliar with the greats of the past. 

But once introduced to some classics, newer fans can easily find songs online - paid or free.  That process has already been sparked by some other avenues, included personal recommendations and a smart licensing deal with CSI.  Indeend, traditional and digital platforms are totally connected, and a big Super Bowl splash will probably create subsequent ripples online.

MJ had been rehearsing for his new world tour when a drug overdose took his life. Thankfully we live in amazing times... The robotic HD cameras had captured the rehearsals. In days gone by we could only have speculated if "MJ still had it." The recordings that captured his intense preparation for the tour showed that he does, indeed, still have the moves. In fact, many fans have been surprised at how the professional dancers that accompany Michael have a difficult time keeping up to him.

 

Despite a speckled history of drug usage and criminal charges, "This Is It" will help us all remember the Michael we know and love -- an artist who combined singing, dancing and songwriting and changed the world with his gifts.
